Overall meaning : Allah Almighty says: Judgement Day has drawn near and Allah’s command to punish you, O unbelievers, is close at hand; do not, therefore, ask for the torment to be hastened, mocking the Messenger’s warning to you of such punishment. Glory be to Allah, and far exalted is He above having partners and above what the idolaters attribute to Him! He sends down the angels with revelation by His command to whomever He wills of His servants whom He has chosen for prophethood, saying, ‘Warn mankind against associating partners with Me, for there is no god worthy of worship except Me; therefore, fear Me by doing what I command and avoiding what I forbid.’ He has created the heavens and the earth for a purpose, not in vain, so that He alone should be worshipped. Far exalted is He above what they associate with Him and worship besides Him! He creates man form a mere drop of sperm, then he openly challenges his Lord who has created and fashioned him in the first place!
