Overall meaning : I swear by the sky and the star which appears by night. What will make you, Muhammad, realise what the star which appears by night is?! It is the bright piercing star. I swear by these that every person has angels that guard him and keep count of his deeds.
Let man, then, reflect on what he is created from. He is created from seminal fluid that is poured forth, issuing from between the man’s backbone and the chest bones. Allah certainly has the power to bring man back to life after his death on the Day of Resurrection when people’s secret thoughts and actions are exposed and they are repaid according to them. On that day, man will have no power to prevent him from the punishment of Allah, nor will he have a helper to save him and protect him!
